As economists struggle to settle on the “right” worth of different currencies, there are some real-world objects with comparable prices across the globe. One such product is the iconic McDonalds’ Big Mac hamburger. Sold in many countries world-wide, it is a quick metric to determine if a local currency is over or under valued.

On November 14th, 02009, 1200+ Icelanders came together to discuss their vision for the future of their nation. As they spent the day discussion and jotting down their ideas, all of their data was catalogued and index. This information has been made freely available to anyone to further augment, visualize and mine it for more information. So we did.
Skólapúlsinn: Educational Assessment
How could a father, a student and a foreigner change the way an entire country looks at educational surveys and improve the quality life for thousands of students? Skólapúlsinn was built to create a very easy environment for schools to conduct continuous random sampling over 21 psychometric scales to evaluation their performance nationally. The results in the first 9 months of operation have been staggering as well as eye opening to us and the schools.
