Several times in my life people have told me certain things were impossible. When pressed for proof, they were unable to cite any sources other than urban legend or “That’s what someone else told me”. So of these claims lead me to conduct some of these experiments, sometimes validating them, other times disproving.

CERN is that often overlooked organization which straddles the boarder between Switzerland and France. Home to some of the most complex and sensitive machines humans have ever built, CERN has an amazing amount of technology and smarts. We were there to help document and simulate just one of their small side-projects: The Web.

Shishito Peppers

We certainly don’t have the best of green thumbs, but we did manage to grow some randomly spicy peppers. Now they are ready to eat and the fun begins!

Bead Art

Moving from bits to atoms every once and awhile has its advantages. We spent several hours over the course of a few weeks putting together a massive bead art project. From code to pattern generation to ironing them together, we learnt a lot about the issues, tolerances and resilience of these tiny plastic beads.
